M\u00e1 svoje stabiln\u00e9 person\u00e1lne obsadenie s&nbsp;uzn\u00e1van\u00fdmi osobnos\u0165ami, m\u00e1 jasn\u00e9 vedeck\u00e9 smerovanie, adekv\u00e1tnu infra\u0161trukt\u00faru v&nbsp;podobe kvalitn\u00e9ho pr\u00edstrojov\u00e9ho vybavenia a ucelen\u00e9 \u0161tudijn\u00e9 programy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Po zalo\u017een\u00ed Pr\u00edrodovedeckej fakulty UPJ\u0160 v&nbsp;r. 1963 bol rozvoj ch\u00e9mie na fakulte zabezpe\u010dovan\u00fd Katedrou ch\u00e9mie, ktor\u00e1 ako tak\u00e1, existovala v rokoch 1963-1965. Z&nbsp;nej boli postupne kreovan\u00e9 tri katedry: Katedra fyzik\u00e1lnej ch\u00e9mie, Katedra anorganickej ch\u00e9mie a Katedra organickej ch\u00e9mie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Katedra organickej ch\u00e9mie vznikla 1. febru\u00e1ra 1966. S&nbsp;n\u00e1zvom Katedra organickej ch\u00e9mie fungovala v&nbsp;rokoch 1966-1979. Od&nbsp;r. 1979 a\u017e do r. 1986 nesie pracovisko n\u00e1zov Katedra organickej ch\u00e9mie a&nbsp;bioch\u00e9mie. V&nbsp;r. 1986 sa&nbsp;&nbsp;bioch\u00e9mia od\u010dlenila, katedra sa op\u00e4tovne osamostatnila a&nbsp;v&nbsp;s\u00favislosti so zmenou organiza\u010dnej \u0161trukt\u00fary PF UPJ\u0160 je od r. 2002 a\u017e do s\u00fa\u010dasnosti&nbsp; akademick\u00fdm pracoviskom \u00dastavu chemick\u00fdch vied PF UPJ\u0160. V&nbsp;r. 2009 vzniklo nov\u00e9 AP\u00da, Laborat\u00f3rium NMR spektroskopie, pod veden\u00edm Doc. RNDr. J\u00e1na Imricha, CSc. (predt\u00fdm zamestnanec KOCH) a&nbsp;v&nbsp;tejto s\u00favislosti do\u0161lo na katedre k&nbsp;men\u0161\u00edm person\u00e1lnym zmen\u00e1m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Ing. Pavol Kristian, DrSc. bol ved\u00facim KOCH od jej vzniku v&nbsp;r. 1966 a\u017e do r. 1989. Po \u0148om \u201e\u0161tafetu\u201c preber\u00e1 vtedy e\u0161te doc. RNDr. Milan Dzurilla, CSc., ktor\u00fd zotrv\u00e1va v&nbsp;tejto funkcii do r. 1992. N\u00e1sledne po \u0148om sa vedenia katedry uj\u00edma doc. Ing. Ladislav Knie\u017eo, CSc., ktor\u00fd bol ved\u00facim do r. 1995. Od&nbsp;konca tohto roku a\u017e do r. 2002 viedol katedru vtedy e\u0161te Doc. RNDr. Jozef Gonda, CSc. Po spom\u00ednanej zmene organiza\u010dnej \u0161trukt\u00fary Pr\u00edrodovedeckej fakulty, sa v&nbsp;r. 2002 prof. Gonda st\u00e1va riadite\u013eom \u00daCHV a&nbsp;funkciu ved\u00faceho katedry preber\u00e1 Doc. RNDr. Peter Kutschy, CSc., ktor\u00fd ju riadil do m\u00e1ja r. 2012. Po jeho ne\u010dakanom \u00famrt\u00ed bola za ved\u00facu katedry zvolen\u00e1 Doc. RNDr. Miroslava Martinkov\u00e1, PhD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na katedre boli vypracovan\u00e9 dve doktorsk\u00e9 dizerta\u010dn\u00e9 pr\u00e1ce na z\u00edskanie titulu DrSc. (prof. Ing. Pavol Kristian, DrSc. a prof. RNDr. Jozef Gonda, DrSc.). Inagurovan\u00ed boli traja profesori (prof. Pavol Kristian, prof. Milan Dzurilla a&nbsp;prof. Jozef Gonda). Habilitovan\u00fdch bolo 9 docentov (Milan Dzurilla, Juraj Bern\u00e1t, O\u013ega Hritzov\u00e1, Gejza Such\u00e1r, Ladislav Knie\u017eo, Jozef Gonda, Peter Kutschy, J\u00e1n Imrich a&nbsp;Miroslava Martinkov\u00e1). Na katedre bolo obh\u00e1jen\u00fdch celkovo 54 dizerta\u010dn\u00fdch pr\u00e1c na z\u00edskanie titulov CSc. a&nbsp;potom nesk\u00f4r PhD. a&nbsp;viac ako 546 rigor\u00f3znych, diplomov\u00fdch, magistersk\u00fdch a&nbsp;bakal\u00e1rskych pr\u00e1c. Pracovn\u00edci katedry publikovali vy\u0161e 400 p\u00f4vodn\u00fdch vedeck\u00fdch pr\u00e1c v&nbsp;medzin\u00e1rodn\u00fdch karentovan\u00fdch \u010dasopisoch. Na pracovisku bolo rie\u0161en\u00fdch celkovo 27 VEGA grantov a&nbsp;4 APVV projekty. K&nbsp;rozvoju katedry v\u00fdrazn\u00fdm sp\u00f4sobom prispela aj spolupr\u00e1ca s pracoviskami na dom\u00e1cich univerzit\u00e1ch v&nbsp;Bratislave ako aj na zahrani\u010dn\u00fdch v Prahe, Brne, Pardubiciach, Hradci Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9, Olomouci,&nbsp;\u0160trasburgu, Z\u0171richu, Bazileji, Ferrare,&nbsp;Bologni, Sapore,&nbsp;Turku a&nbsp;Groningene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perspekt\u00edvy rozvoja katedry boli od jej vzniku spojen\u00e9 s kvalitn\u00fdm vedeck\u00fdm v\u00fdskumom, ktor\u00fd bol orientovan\u00fd na problematiku synt\u00e9z izotiokyan\u00e1tov a produktov ich nukleofiln\u00fdch ad\u00edci\u00ed. Okrem toho sa \u0161tudovalo aj vyu\u017eitie cykloadi\u010dn\u00fdch, cyklokondenza\u010dn\u00fdch a&nbsp;fotocykliza\u010dn\u00fdch reakci\u00ed heterokumul\u00e9nov v&nbsp;synt\u00e9ze heterocyklov.
